We are working on the RPV calculations now, and hope to have the advancement lists for the 2010 race season published after Thanksgiving. Advancement for 2010 will be effective JANUARY 1st, 2010.
Last year, with almost 1000 racers, 3% of them were advanced for the 2009 race season. Our preliminary numbers show aproximately the same number of racers, but only 1% will be advanced for the 2010 race season. Many of them have already advanced themselves in 2009. Official advancement list will be published after Thanksgiving.
POSTED OCTOBER 1, 2009 -- As a result of recent conversation with the AMA regarding their continued support of the Texas Advancement Point System, we will be making some changes to our system effective immediately. The primary changes include the following:
Welcome to the Texas Advancement Points System webe site. The site is inteded to serve all riders racing in Texas. TAPS protects those riders who are not ready to move to the next skill level and advances those who are ready based on performance over a 12 month period (Dec 1st - Dec 1st).
This site contains all of the information for any rider to monitor their Rider Points Value during the year. TAPS encourages all riders to gather their finishes and number of riders in the class to calculate their RPV from every event raced. The Texas Advancement Point System is approved and recognized by the AMA.
